01 — The story
A life that
was working.
I have always served — the one who did what no one else dared, and I was loved for it. But I served in a single lane, one expression of a calling that runs wider than one room. Then, in my parents' driveway with the engine still running, three words left my mouth before my mind approved them. “I don’t want this.” Not the serving. The lane.
Nobody forced me into that lane — I was celebrated into it. Then I crossed, into visual storytelling, and found I could serve through every ability I had, not just one.
For nearly two decades I built worlds for a living: film and broadcast for the Department of Defense, Newsweek, and institutions that shape how millions see. Award-winning short films. Grammy-nominated artists entrusted their video work to me. The World Builder was forged there, frame by frame, before I had the language for it.
